Ask for referrals. Ask your family and friends for referrals and recommendations of their trusted dentists.
Have more than one option. Don’t just have one dentist. You might have a dental emergency while your only dentist is away on vacation, or otherwise unavailable. Have two trusted dentists you regularly go to.
Check their educational and professional track record. Get to know your dentist well. Don’t be shy to ask for their records, and even ask for the contacts of their longest clients so you could make sure your dentist has a good track record.
